The Shallows at SXSW

I will be reading from my forthcoming book, The Shallows, a week from today at the South by Southwest conference in Austin. The reading is scheduled to take place on March 16 at 11:30 am on the Day Stage. If you are in the neighborhood, and are properly badged, please stop by.

It was great to hear you read your excerpt at SXSW. Please remind me of the quote about time from Emerson. It went something like “The best filter is TIME.” I want to use it for an article, but I cannot seem to find it, even in his book of essays that I own.

    Warmly,

Whilst many of the introductory elements of your book sound fascinating (obviously I don’t have access to the final text), I’d urge you to take any/all noteworthy scientific data you have collated to back up your point of view and publish them via an open access journal. A transparent peer review process facilitated by the very technology in question really could add something to an interesting premise, no?
