Apple releases a commercial about the glories of having Intel inside, while Bill Gates says, "The users don't really care what's inside the machine in terms of the processor."
The commercial is mildly amusing, but Gates is right.

I think you are getting the Apple ad all wrong, Apple does not say that the computer will be better because of the chip. They are saying that the chip will be better because it is no longer weighed down by WinTel oppression.

I agree with James. For me the commercial says "we're not like all the other (boring) computers, we're Apple, and we’re cool". It's cleverly packaged as a technology ad, but it's all about image.
