Cheapskates rule

April 25, 2005

BusinessWeek Online has published my latest Viewpoint column, Tech: Where the Last Are First. I discuss a big shift we've been seeing in the sources of IT innovation. Smaller organizations, which used to lag behind the curve, are leading the way in creating a new model of business computing. Their need to pinch pennies is forcing them to explore cheaper and ultimately more efficient ways of using information technology - and all companies will ultimately benefit from their experience.
