Blog Anxiety
April 13, 2005
The illusion that one has something to say of interest to humanity, or even a reasonable subset of humanity, can be difficult to sustain. This can cause anxiety in a fledgling blogger around the time his blog is launched. Such anxiety can be reduced, to a degree, by reminding oneself that the so-called blogosphere is just a big echo chamber where good and, more commonly, not-so-good ideas bounce around endlessly. At those times when one loses the illusion of self-importance one can simply provide a link to someone else who has not lost that illusion along with a brief summary of what they'll find at the other end of that link.
Speaking of links, Tim, is there a simple way to make links in MT or do I have to code them manually in html?

I believe that if you type in the full URL it will automatically be converted into an URL. Ugly.
You should try MarsEdit or Ecto as a front end to your MT setup. They're both great, though these days I'm preferring MarsEdit. It's written by Ranchero Software who wrote NetNewsWire.
